Keeping a Health Record
There are many reasons for keeping a written health record of your child:
- You have a record of the medications he has been prescribed.
- You keep track of his allergies (if any).
- You can recall when symptoms for an illness began, got worse or better, and ended.
- You will remember when it is time for a screening or a test.
- You can better manage your child’s chronic illnesses by tracking symptoms and causes.
Activity: Health Record
A well-organised health record could be critical if someone or a family member needs to assist in making a decision on your behalf. Within your child’s health record, you should also note down any health-related schemes that your child is already enrolled in.
